This is cool writeup idea but if you have access to a 3d printer, why on Earth would you go to all that trouble with wood? This guy literally 3D printed stencils for the wood and then realized that it would have been much easier to just print this all out and put together so why continue down the wood path? I would have scrapped it immediately and went down the printing path. Especially since in the end he had to print out parts to complete this anyhow…. Almost like it wasn’t really planned. Just baffles me. Not to mention that the OP of the first video with the 12 has a new enclosure on a 32 with switches that read and write amongst other things making this writeup look really dated. It also doesn’t appear to require anything more than you have in a normal garage/workshop for his build. I love the DIY nature of this site but sometimes I wonder. Before anyone jumps on this comment and says “not everyone has access to a 3D printer”, that’s exactly my point. It should either be all wood and things you can do at your home or straight up engineered using the 3D printer. Never mind that you still need to have a 3D printer to do this particular build as parts are custom. This is just too much of a mix of materials and workflows to be worth it for $60 pocket synth. I didn’t even price out what the cost is to make this but I’m sure it’s at least half the cost of the pocket operator or twice the cost if you count your time as money. Show us more useable content like the old DJTT days where you had videos galore coming out every day pushing the scene and not so much filler!!!!!

**rant over**
