ok then. some great sounding tracks coming for sure. 95% of people who try to master their own tracks don’t have good enough listening devices to make it not suck. 99% don’t have good enough ears. 99.9% just cycle through izotope presets until one sounds “hot”.

Wow so reading from the files app is theoretically possible? Superb news, I am glad this is coming to iOS, finally!

This is definitely good news for people owning a large collection of samples and willing to import them across all of their apps. Files allows two options for importing medias, either duplicating them into the app or reading them directly from their source (cloud or local storage) without any duplication. So in theory, this will fit your need.
As for now, the implementation within Cross and Remixlive is based on the first option (duplication of samples), because the other method is slightly more complex to develop. However, we do not rule out improving this in the next versions and we will definitely take your feedback into consideration.

But now if the files feature allows a centralized file depot, from which all supporting apps can read&write, this will eliminate the redundancy caused by having to COPY all the transferrable content between all the related apps, saving prescious diskspace and reducing file clutter greatly. And that will proper things forward. I don’t want to have duplicate copies of my 4GB drum sample library in every damn sample player app, and copying four hour mixes in wav/aiff across several apps just to edit out one thing.. that’s the problem I am hoping the files integration will finally solve.
